I bought this hoop about 2 years ago. It's mounted on the front of garage at the moment and still looks like new.
The quality of the backboard and the rim are top notch. The "breakaway" feature of the rim is especially nice if you plan to lower it and have alot of people dunking on it. I of course don't have this problem b/c I can barely touch the rim :)
This is a good backboard/rim combo for the buck.

If you are looking for a professional backboard and rim, this is not for you, but it is a solid, lightweight combo that mounted easily. I put it onto an existing pole and mount and after shopping around for some time, I am glad I made this choice.

I had a portable basketball goal from Lifetime and needed to replace a shatterd backboard that we had for about 5 years. This backboard does not come with any mounting bracket hardware. I have a portable system with the adjustable height type bracket system. I removed my old backboard and put this one on in about an hour by myself. Directions were fairly easy to follow, I was missing the corner backboard cover pieces but everything else was included. The metal bar that attatches the rim to the board had included end caps that were very difficult to put on but I managed with a hammer to get them on. The kids like their new backboard, looks good.
